Hello Friends!!
We just want to take the time to thank everyone for all the help, donations, thoughts, and prayers over the past month. Melissa’s Hope has received so much love from all of you and with Thanksgiving approaching, we want to take this time to send a GREAT BIG THANKS!!
WHAT’S NEW?
Everything at school is up and running! We currently have 63 students in attendance. With the added classroom, we are able to expand our attendance and create a positive learning atmosphere.
Paula is still struggling with her health and frequently making doctor’s visits. Please pray for her speedy recovery and a solution to the cause of her poor health status.
A quick update on MHF’s tax exempt status is that we are working with an accountant to do everything we can to reinstate our ID. The process is in full swing and we will keep you updated on the progress!
CURRENT ISSUE
Melissa’s Hope is hoping to create the best situation for the children. We are trying to purchase the land where the orphanage is located. The owner is asking for $150,000. On the land, there are some renovations that must be done and we are working with Catholic Relief Services in Haiti to accomplish our goals. 
They recently came out to the orphanage and provided us with an engineering technical assessment report. In this visit they assessed the land, our septic tank, draining of daily used water, water contamination, and foliage. They supplied us with blue prints and the plans to repair the orphanages issues; we just need to have the money to do so. Catholic Relief Services is willing to provide the labor and expertise to fix the issues. We would like monetary help from you to change what is necessary to decrease the large amounts of contaminated water on the land.
